A whistleblowing engineer has sent a letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, accusing federal personnel of covering up major vulnerabilities of nuclear power facilities that are situated downstream from large dams – largely because of the risk of floods in the event of dam failure. Another engineer has made similar allegations.
