Protecting Whistleblowers since 1977

Alice Kurima Newberry

Printer-friendly version

Alice serves as GAP’s Program Associate, supporting Legal Director Tom Devine with mobilizing the organization’s political action arena—by playing matchmaker with individuals, coalitions, and organizations. In working to generate grassroots advocacy and solidarity with whistleblowers, Alice transforms knowledge into power, making transparency and justice imperative in places where corruption, dishonesty, and exploitation still exist.

Alice joins GAP having spent the past year advocating for human rights in D.C., where she helped build upon community organizing efforts through anti-war and social justice lenses. Alice is a native Seattleite and graduate from the Evergreen State College and therefore loves nature, fresh produce, and orca whales.
