The Many Ways You Can Support the Truth.
Donating to the Government Accountability Project (GAP) is not only easy, but there are several ways you can do it. Cash flow, tax implications, employer matching funds—your generous gift can be structured in a way that takes these considerations and more in mind. On behalf of truthtellers everywhere, please know that we are grateful for your support.
Methods of Giving
I. Donate Online: Donations to GAP are confidential and secure. As part of the Network for Good, a non-profit alliance of companies dedicated to assisting public interest organizations, GAP accepts donations made via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and electronic checks. You may also give anonymously, if you wish. GAP encourages you to consider becoming a recurring donor by committing to a regular debit to your card on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. More details on making a tax-deductible gift to GAP.
II. Donate by Mail: Please send donations by mail to:
Government Accountability Project
1612 K Street NW, Suite 1100
Washington, DC 20006
You charitable contribution can be made by check, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or even a gift of cash through the mail. Please include your address along with your donation so that we can properly acknowledge your gift. Checks should be made payable to the Government Accountability Project.
For questions about individual giving, please contact Waheeda Ghani at 202.457.0034, ext. 125.
III. Combined Federal Campaign Gifts: GAP participates annually in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) of the federal government and the U.S. military. If you are a federal government or military employee and would like to give to GAP through CFC, please enter code 11519 on your pledge card during the next fund drive.
IV. Corporate Matching Gifts: Many companies will match employee donations made to non-profits with 501(c)(3) status. If your company has a matching program, you can double the impact of your gift to GAP. If you would like your gift to be matched, ask the Human Resources office if your company offers a matching program. If they do, simply request a matching gift form and enclose a completed copy with your donation.
V. Gifts of Stock: Details on how to make a donation of stock or other securities.
VI. Planned Giving: Read more about new strategies for Planned Giving.
GAP is proud of the way it manages your donations. Learn more in our Annual Financial Report or filing information from several states.
Thank you so much for helping GAP. Your support makes an incredible difference!
